Getting anywhere close to the above build template will have your character be godlike already anyway. It’s an incredibly powerful build with many options that I can’t really go into fine detail as it isn’t in the scope of this guide. You can opt out of both these items in place for a more defensive Crystal Fist, In-Geom or any other utility item, and another armor item in the cube…Īs you can see this build has a lot of parts, and some options. Only use Binding of the Lesser Gods WITH Rabid Strike. This is a “sidequest” you should forever be aware of as it’s pretty impactful… You can start by crafting Sage or Cain’s NOW and worry about the rest later. CRIT Stats (CHC / CHD) – More for endgame, but I’d take this over garbage stats.ĭo not forget to fully equip your follower for farming.Life per Hit – Great early game sustainability.Armor – Useless for us, take ALLRES instead.Excess Cooldown Reduction – Only useful for an endgame “need”.Excess Resource Cost Reduction – Is a crutch, and only niche builds need it.Attack Speed – it usually an endgame tune-up stat.Life Regeneration – garbage for any build. The Element% you want is Fire (some like lightning), found typically in Bracers and Amulet. Wave of Light % is found in Helm and Boots. Life per Hit is pretty good early game, and try to get a roll of it somewhere. Since legendaries are a little expensive to reroll EARLY ON, try to make the most by REMOVING GARBAGE STATS, and getting anything “remotely usable”.ĭEX and VIT are your primary stats and are welcome everywhere, also, as mentioned above, ALL RESISTS are also very welcome. Slot in your best Diamonds on body and legs, as they give ALLRES. So try to reroll ALLRES on your gear if you need defense, and REMOVE AS MUCH ARMOR (it’s pretty useless as a rolled-in stat). So, in the face of all this free armor, your prime defensive stats are ALL RESISTS > VIT. Other offensive options are Trapped, and Stricken (which is only good in the LATE game).Ĭan’t ever go wrong with leveling up a Boon of the Hoarder for speedfarming.ĭemon Hunter / Monk are DEXTERITY classes (they get free Armor from DEX). It’s a cheap 25 level investment for very powerful offensive and defensive effects. Esoteric Alteration is worth a mention as the late-game defensive gem of choice.īane of the Powerful is an option if you don’t want double defensive gems. Since the progression of the monk items is really offensive, an early setup of Moratorium (L25 only) + Molten Wildebeests Gizzard (Upgrade as you want) is the ultimate early game defensive duo that will hard carry you until the point you don’t need it anymore. I highly recommend double defensive gems for now. Legacy of Dreams is mandatory, as mentioned in the basics segment! Level this up as much as you can. Get them and level them quickly – do not feel pressured to “maximize” your rift keys by inflating the difficulty. Just get repeat the cycle of Nephalem Rift for a Key -> Do a Greater Rift until you get them, and do the absolute minimum level you need to level them up. Your next goal should be getting at least L25 on your three most important gems. What three Legendary gems? L25 them ASAP. Advertisements Generic Starter build (slightly related to our ‘final build’) S24 Fresh 70 Monk BASIC BUILD Ultimately you need two things right now: The actual LoD gem, and a basic build to get you going. Step 1) Initial Build & Getting Legacy of Dreamsĭon’t get stressed out, yes, LoD builds might seem a little daunting but let me tell you that it’s a fun and exciting process. – Complete Altar of Rites and Seasonal Journey along the way. – Get to a point where you’re speedfarmy enough to branch out to any build. – Continue to farm core items to improve your LoD WoL build. Instead, check out the leveling guides if you’re not 70 yet and somehow found yourself here.įor this guide we have a few couple overarching steps that dictate our plan. While this notably changes the leveling pattern quite a bit, we won’t be talking about it here. While it may seem unexciting at first, the bonuses all pile up to become wildly out of hand. These range from the wildly exciting “Pets can pick up and salvage white, blue, and yellow gear”, to basic stat increases like 15% dodge. It’s kind of like a passive skill tree from other games. In return, each specific node grants you a passive power corresponding to the seal you unlocked. IE, Unlock 5 will cost the same no matter if you went down one path or the other. These increase in difficulty for each step of the way, regardless of which path you choose. For each node (“seal”) you want to unlock, you need to sacrifice a specific set of items to unlock a seal. The Altar of Rites is unlocked from the get-go. I made a separate Altar of Rites guide because it’s there’s a few choices and timings you want to know about. S28’s unique mechanic is the Altar of Rites.
